Sunsational Review

Sunsational is a non dairy, milk substitute, made from Sunflower kernels!

My husband and son LOVE milk, I mean we go through at least 3 gallons of milk a week at my house. I know milk has its ups and downs but I know one of the down is it's very fattening. I was on a mad woman search for a healthy alternative!

That's when I came across Sunsational! When I first read about it my mind was blown. How can you make something that will actually taste good to drink from Sunflower kernels? I wasn't really sure about the taste I mean after all it's a drink made from Sunflower seeds but my son and husband agreed to journey with me in trying it. It's definitely an acquired taste but it's not bad. It comes in two flavors, vanilla and original. The Original is good and has a very nice and toasty after taste but the vanilla is more for someone who looking for a little but more of a cover on the Sunflower seed taste. My son didn't like it at all but he's a kid and to be completely honest with you he prefers chocolate milk over regular but what 3 year old doesn't? My husband thought it was awesome! 

Another awesome thing about Sunsational is that you can use it to replace milk in almost any recipe. I made pancakes with it and those were spectacular!  With the holidays coming up maybe you all could go out and get your very own carton of Sunsational to try, if not just to drink to replace milk in some of your holiday dishes!
